I
became a Playstation junkie in Japan. I started
out playing BioHazard
with some Japanese friends. They decided pretty
quick that I sucked & I was wasting their
valuable playing time by running in the corner
while being devoured by zombies...over and over.
I wasn't allowed to play with the big kids anymore.
I got a second hand PS1000 and with a few weeks
of intense practice I was back in. Somehow learning
in Japanese made me a better player. Either
that, or my determination to kick ass just made
me scary. I cleared BioHazard
Directors Cut, all versions
(brag-brag). I moved on to a newly released
game, Tomb Raider,
and I was hooked. The ability to go anywhere
and look anywhere was very exciting compared
to the limitations of BioHazard. After clearing
that game and needing something to do till TR
II came out, I started in on the Japanese PS
games. Tenchu,
a very excellent game, gave me the "Zen"
of going slowly. Quite the opposite of the of
the other games & the "rush in and
kill 'em all" feel. I've gone through about
everything I can get my hands on and Tenchu
3 and TR AOD are on my wish list... I
wish they would hurry up and release them!
Anyway, if you have any questions about the
Japanese games, I'll help if I can. There are
some excellent sites that are much better though.

Tomb
Raider:
About A Girl named Lara
The
original Tomb Raider gave us more than just a sexy adventurer
named Lara Croft, it also hailed a new generation of
3D action/adventure games. Often imitated, but never
equaled, TR games are the action showcase for Lara Croft.
Eidos Interactive attempts to captivate the gaming community
yet again, by bringing back our heroine in her 6th brand
new adventure, Tomb Raider - Angel of Darkness. Built
for Playstation2, Tomb Raider AOD sports more elaborate
level designs, destructive weapons, and of course, formidable
enemies.
According to Eidos we should all have the English version
in our hot little hands on June 18th, 2003. I hope the
Japanese release will follow shortly.
